Your credit union is committed to strengthening the lives of your members. You’re involved in your communities. You’re more than just a financial institution-you’re a trusted partner in the financial lives of your members. You’re an active participant in your local community, and you’re an important part of our state’s economy recovery.

You know it, and it’s time to make sure your state legislators know it too.

It’s imperative that Northwest credit union leaders—senior managements, chapter officers, volunteers and tomorrow’s leadership—attend the Washington State Governmental Affairs Conference. This is our opportunity to shape a future for credit unions that allows them to thrive!

During the WGAC, you’ll have face-to-face time with your legislators and regulators, giving you the opportunity to explain why their support is vital to your credit union and your members-and to remind them of the credit union difference at a time when they are looking for solutions.

If you have participated in these events, you can offer valuable insight to your peers and help advance our legislative agenda. If you’ve never participated in the WGAC, now is the time to start. Association staff will be available to provide any support you need, including legislative briefings, handouts, advice and practical tips on how to make the most of your visits with legislators.
