Awards Programs

The Northwest Credit Union Association is proud to recognize those professionals, volunteers, and credit unions that have made outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the credit union movement.  The Association’s award programs include the Summit Awards (administered and presented on behalf of the Oregon and Washington Credit Union Foundations); Advocacy Awards, Chapter Excellence Awards, and CUNA Awards. These awards recognize the best our industry has to offer including annual awards that acknowledge lifetime contributions to the credit union movement, social responsibility and excellence in advocacy, among others. These award programs are in place to honor professionals, volunteers, credit unions, and chapters for excellence in leadership and service.  Award presentations occur at several events throughout the Annual Convention.

Summit Awards - Professional

The professional award program recognizes leaders who advance the Northwest credit union movement. They honor individuals that promote the credit union philosophy, create innovative concepts, and provide leadership that has/had a significant and lasting impact on the credit union movement. The professional award program honors individuals in the categories of Mark of Excellence, Credit Union Professional of the Year, and Young Credit Union Professional of the Year.

Summit Awards - Volunteer

Volunteers are an integral part of the credit union movement and their contributions deserve recognition.  Their contributions resonate throughout the credit union community by illuminating the most important part of the credit union structure.  The Volunteer Award Programs honor and rewards those volunteers within the Northwest credit union community who have exemplified outstanding leadership and service.

Chapter Excellence Awards

Chapters are an important part of the credit union system and another way that we can differentiate ourselves. Chapter Excellence Awards will be presented in 5 categories.  One award for each of the 4 pillars, leadership, education, advocacy, philosophy in action and one award for the overall best practices.
